MANCHESTER - Mikael Silvestre a bodyguard rearguard troops Old Trafford. Once away from United in 2008, Silvestre is now back again seen with the Red Devils ahead of the Champions League to face CFR Cluj.

Silvestre first arrived at Old Trafford in 1999. During nine years as Sir Alex Ferguson's men, Silvestre had enjoyed five Premier League titles and five trophies in another arena.

But in 2008 he was released. Silvestre venture into North London with Arsenal. But he only lasted for two seasons, then leave the Premier League to join the Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.

French defender who is now 35-year-old, released Bremen last summer. Silvestre is now practically a player without a club, although last September he underwent a trial at West Ham, but apparently there is no agreement whatever happens.

Sir Alex Ferguson appears to glance at the opportunity to use the services of Silvestre following the formation damage that occurs in the back row Manchester United terakibat many injuries.

Just a day after United's back line depleted criticized for unsatisfactory performance which resulted in the defeat of Tottenham Hotspur 2-3, Silvestre looks in the gym Red Devils, at Carrington.

Silvestre experience could be a solution to the lack of available pillar. Ferguson did have to rack my brain to cope with the loss of Nemanja Vidic, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling is still bandaged injury, while Rio Ferdinand returning from injury.

While at United, Silvestre played as a left back for almost a decade, before being shifted by Gabriel Heinze and Patrice Evra. The last name is still a mainstay Ferguson this season, it could mean recruiting Silvestre, Fergie could play at center-back, the position he played in the same tradition, both when he was at United, or playing for Arsenal.
